Why is my Myspace Inbox empty?
June 21, 2007
So, I was sitting at work the other day, bored out of my mind, just clicking on random sites, when I decide to pay a visit to MySpace. Which I happen to do almost every day, well ok, yeah I’m on there every day. But to my surprise I didn’t have any messages tonight, which shouldn’t have shocked me anyway because I haven’t really had time to actually message anyone in about a month. And I know that sounds so strange though because I’m on there like every day, so like was my excuse, right?
Well for starters think the whole thing is starting to get old a little. I’m not saying that MySpace surfacing is losing its appeal, cause trust me that will never get boring. I’m just saying that I and my friends are getting older and the things that we used like are changing fast. Most of us don’t even live in the same state anymore, are having a really hard time trying to find the time to keep in touch with each other.
Which should make me feel guilty about make excuse for not messaging them, cause Lord know I barely use my cell phone. But I think for me is more of desire to use my spare time more wisely. And it’s not that I’m saying that talking with my old pals is a waste of time, because I love to talk to my best buds.
It’s just that I’m really moving far out of the social setting because I’m getting’ this growing serious desire to make some major money fast. And I not talk about illegal stuff!
I just don’t feel like going to some college or working for some big company is going to bring me the success that I want. I’m rebelling against the very thing that most of my friend are doing. And I feel slightly ashamed of that.
But right now all I see is that the kids my age are struggling to pay for school while to working full time just to pay the rent and eat. And it’s not that I don’t believe that hard work in school doesn’t pay off. But I’ve worked with people that have had baccalaureate degrees that make less than me.
It’s this a snap shot of my future? To struggle through college half broke and then end up at some dead bet job making less than I did in school with a school loan the size of a mortgage? The economy is getting worse and if that’s not bad enough their sending half of my friends off to war. And I doubt that I’m the only one feeling a little scare for my generation of Millennials right now. Cause if we don’t figure out away to take care of our self’s and our family’s soon, where going to have a really big mess on our hands.
So a long with working full time, marketing my real estate business, I’ve decide to take a break from school for a min and take some time to actually get some behind the scène financial and corporate info.
So I know that’s this is a motivational and informational blog but I just had to vent a little. And hey, don’t get me wrong MySpace is catching on fast too, because their now offering a new blog feed on the site and I spent the rest of the night at work checking out the business section.
Which is where I found this really this really kool blog created by these two really kool millennial guys, Ryan Healy and Ryan Paugh, that just graduated from college. And they have some really solid advice on building a career and working in Corporate America. And the nice about it is that it’s all coming from a millennial’s perspective.
They even had a post about one of their kool friends Brett that just spent all of last summer traveling around after graduation and getting advice from some really happy, successful and rich people, that he put in an e-book called Timeless Advice. So there, I’ve given you some success stories and nice resources to lighten up this post. So go check out ‘em!

Hey!
Thanks for the shoutout. I’m glad you’re enjoying our blog. I have to clear one thing up though. The travelling cross-country/e-book is by our friend Brett and his crew over at PursueThePassion.com.
I’d love to take the credit, but it just wouldn’t be right.
